About AxelAlias

AxelAlias is an email alias service. Each alias is a real, working address that forwards to your existing inbox, so a service gets a reachable address without getting your main one.

the name

Why "alias"

An alias has always meant another name you answer to. That's exactly what this is: not a fake address, not a throwaway one, but another address for the same inbox, one you can hand out without handing over your main one.

When one address is used for everything, a leak or a spam run at any single service lands on the same inbox. Giving each service its own alias keeps those separate, and makes a noisy address easy to trace back to its source.

the approach

Hygiene, not hiding

AxelAlias doesn't promise anonymity and doesn't pretend an alias makes you invisible. The idea is smaller and more useful: separation. Each service gets its own address, none of them is the main one, and any of them can go away on your terms.

It's the email equivalent of not using the same key for your house, your car and your office.

the line

Not a temp-mail host

Disposable inboxes are fine for what they are, but AxelAlias isn't one. These are lasting addresses with real history: mail you can find years later, resets that still work, receipts that survive.

The difference is ownership. A public temp inbox is shared and short-lived; an alias is an address you keep.
